Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

In Italy, activists have started collecting signatures against sending arms to Kiev

Italian political activists have started collecting citizens’ signatures against military aid to Ukraine. According to Il Fatto Quotidiano, a national referendum is planned.

One of the initiators of the referendum was Italian actor and musician Moni Ovadia. According to him, the citizen survey is a useful and effective tool. Other supporters of the suppression of military aid to Ukraine believe that the sending of arms is contrary to the provisions of the Italian Constitution.

“We can no longer tolerate carnage under the veil of false propaganda,” writes Il Fatto Quotidiano, referring to a statement by the initiators of the referendum.

We note that the organization of the popular vote is entrusted to two commissions: “Refusal of war” and “Future generations”. Support is also provided by the former mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi.

Earlier, The National Interest suggested that the departure of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi could lead to a change in anti-Russian tack and a deterioration in relations with Kiev.
