Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Cyprus to evict three thousand Ukrainian refugees from hotels before summer season

About three thousand Ukrainian refugees before the start of summer will have to leave the hotels in Cyprus, where they were temporarily accommodated. According to the AlphaNews portal, the authorities of the island state have already made the corresponding decision.

Journalists note that migrants from Ukraine, currently living in 21 hotels on the territory of the republic, have already received an ultimatum for deportation. They were given a deadline to find a new place of residence until May 31.

At the same time, it is reported that hotels that will be able to accommodate Ukrainian refugees after June 1 will be determined. They will be selected according to the results of the call for tenders from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic.

In addition, the Cypriot authorities offer migrants subsidies for renting accommodation. The island has also launched a job search program for able-bodied Ukrainians.

Earlier, the EURACTIV portal wrote about the complaints of Ukrainian citizens living in the Netherlands. The refugees are unhappy with the living conditions offered to them in the camp, organized near the village of Harskamp.
