Yaroslav Kaczynski, chairman of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party, said Warsaw was against a compromise solution to the situation in Ukraine. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Today we don’t know how the war in Ukraine will end, there are preconditions to judge that it will end with a certain compromise, not a final decision. Unfortunately, this will mean that a new danger may soon arise. We don’t want such a decision,” Kaczynski said.
Earlier, the SVR, quoting the head of the department, Sergei Naryshkin, reported on growing anti-German sentiment in Poland. Warsaw fears the possible revanchist claims of Berlin with regard to the former German territories passed to its eastern neighbor following the Second World War. Against this background, the Polish army conducted exercises with a false enemy from the west.
