Fighters from the private military company Wagner managed to advance on the western outskirts of Artyomovsk, they are fighting behind the railway tracks in the area of high-rise buildings and a medical institute, reports RIA Novosti quoting a correspondent.
“Three days ago, we went behind a piece of iron in a nine-story building, we cleaned it up, and now we’re heading west. Past the nine-story buildings, the extremes that remained in the western part of Bakhmut,” the fighters said.
It is specified that in the western part of the city, there are few buildings left that could serve as a shelter. At the same time, the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupy advantageous heights in multi-storey buildings.
“We are trying to move, we are looking for shelter. In this regard, it is difficult, because there are no whole houses there and there are no shelters there either, so we try to quickly enter the high-rise buildings. height,” the soldier said.
Earlier it was reported that during the battles on the territory of Artyomovsk, Ukrainian units suffered serious setbacks and defeats. Moreover, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently lost a large number of their fighters.
