Ukraine tries to deceive Russia before the offensive, which could be decisive

– Published on:

The Ukrainian side is trying to deceive Russia ahead of its counter-offensive, which could be decisive, Politico reports.

It is clarified that the purpose of this deception is to confuse the Russian Federation on where and when the Armed Forces of Ukraine will strike. The material indicates that the most likely places for the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army are the northeastern part of the Kharkiv region, the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, as well as Donetsk.

It is also noted that “Russia is most afraid of the southern direction”, since success on this front line can allow Kiev to move further towards Crimea. Furthermore, it is stated that the Pentagon doubts Ukraine’s ability to retake Crimea by military means.

The day before, it was reported that Ukraine would prepare 12 brigades of 4,000 soldiers each for an offensive in May.
