Jalandhar. Addressing a rally in Punjab on Wednesday in favor of Sushil Riku, the party’s candidate for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bypoll, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised the countrymen that he would 15-15 lakh rupees will be given to every citizen of the country by bringing back black money, but even after almost a decade of Modi government, black money has not come back.
Barsat said that instead of bringing back the black money, he along with people like Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya took away the hard-earned money of the countrymen. He said Mr. Modi had promised two crore jobs every year, but government institutions were sold off, including airports and railways. The economy of our country has collapsed due to this step of the Modi government. He said that in the same way, Akali and Congress have also put their hands on the heads of the people of Punjab.
He imposed a debt of three and a half lakh crores and defamed public institutions. He said that today every Punjabi has a debt of one lakh rupees. He said that ever since the AAP government came to power in the state, electricity bills of more than 80 percent people in Punjab are coming to zero. More than 28000 youth have got employment and thousands of temporary workers have become permanent. More than five hundred Mohalla clinics have been opened, in which treatment and all investigations are done free of cost.
