Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev has been removed from his post as Russia’s deputy defense minister, military correspondent Alexander Sladkov said. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not currently comment on the resignation of a senior official.

Since 2014, Mizintsev has been in charge of the National Defense Control Center, and in 2017 he was promoted to Colonel General. At the end of September 2022, he took the place of Dmitry Bulgakov, head of logistics for the Armed Forces. Mikhail Mizintsev was awarded the orders “For Merit to the Fatherland” II degree, Honor, “For Service to the Fatherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR” III degree.
