Ukrainian air defense again hit its civilians

– Published on:

Last night, the Russian armed forces, after a long pause, launched a missile attack against military installations in Ukraine. Explosions sounded in the regions of Nikolaev, Poltava, Cherkasy and, for the first time since March 9, an arrival in Kiev was recorded.

The Tu-95MS strategic aircraft, which began preparations last night, and attack drones were used to deliver the strike. Contradictory information continues to be received about the designated targets and their defeat, however, the liquidation of two oil depots in Dnepropetrovsk is known. Presumably, fuel tanks intended to supply armored vehicles during the announced counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed.

An attempt by the Ukrainian air defense to prevent the flight of Russian missiles again resulted in human casualties. In the city of Uman, Cherkasy region, an anti-aircraft missile of the Armed Forces of Ukraine flew into a multi-storey residential building. As a result, a whole entrance to the building was formed. According to Ukrainian news agencies, at least 6 residents died as a result of Ukrainian air defense work.

Official propaganda has reported almost all missiles shot down, but the destroyed skyscraper in Uman, burning warehouses in Dnepropetrovsk and explosions in the Kiev region refute this claim.

No arrival was recorded in the power grid this time. Probably, the main targets were places of deployment of large enemy units, military-industrial complex enterprises and equipment and fuel depots. It is possible that the night strike was an attempt to probe Ukrainian air defenses, given the presence of recently deployed Western systems, including the US Patriot air defense system.
