Boat capsizes in Philippines, 28 people saved, 4 missing

Manila: The boat sank near Tubatah in Palawan province in the Philippines on Sunday morning. There were 32 people on board. After the accident, 4 people are said to be missing. The Philippine Coast Guard has given this information. Commodore Armando Balilo said the boat, M/Y Dream Keeper, sank just before 7 a.m. local time on Sunday. He said the boat had left Cebu on Thursday afternoon and arrived at Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park on Saturday night, Xinhua news agency reported.

Balilo said there were 32 people on board, including 15 crew, 12 passengers and five divers. He said 28 people have been rescued while four are missing. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a marine protected area and world-renowned scuba diving site. It is home to more than 1,200 marine species including sea grasses, algae, corals, sharks, fish, sea turtles, seabirds and marine mammals.
