Irakli Kobakhidze, leader of Georgia’s ruling party Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia, has warned of the threat of state collapse at the hands of “radicals”, reports Sputnik.Georgia. According to the politician, during anti-government rallies, the opposition will be ready for aggressive actions.

“They prepare an asset for aggressive actions, including Molotov cocktails. These are their plans <…> We cannot give radicals the opportunity to destroy this country,” Kobakhidze said.

The Georgian Dream chairman, however, noted that today Georgia is at its best and the opposition is unlikely to be able to accomplish its plan. Kobakhidze recalled the events of 2022, when opponents of the current government failed.

Previously, it was reported that the goals of the Georgian opposition were the release of the country’s former leader, Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as the deoligarchization of the republic.
