A Ukrainian Armed Forces Su-25 plane was shot down by Russian servicemen near Kherson while trying to carry out an attack there. This is stated in the message of the Telegram channel “Russian Spring Military Correspondents” (“RV”).
The text of the publication specifies that two Ukrainian planes were heading for the Dnieper islands from the village of Kizomys in the Kherson region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) Su-25 attempted to strike the positions of the Russian units, but failed to complete the task. One of the planes was hit by an anti-aircraft missile of the RF Armed Forces Air Defense System, after which it crashed.
Another Ukrainian plane then flew away.
“This is the second attack aircraft shot down by our anti-aircraft gunners in six days near the Dnieper Islands near Kherson,” the report said.
On the night of April 30, information appeared in the media about the sounds of powerful explosions in Kherson. After that, an air alert was announced in the area.
