Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to participate in the celebration of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the press service of the head of Tajikistan.
“Dear Vladimir Putin invited the leader of the nation to come to Moscow to participate in events dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day,” the message read.
The presidents discussed the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border and the calendar of bilateral events. The parties also noted the positive dynamics in the development of Tajik-Russian relations of strategic partnership.
Earlier, a survey by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research showed that for 65% of Russians, Victory Day is the most important holiday.
