Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu of the Southern Military District inspected the readiness of military equipment and weapons sent to units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in NMD areas. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense.
During the visit, Shoigu inspected bases for storing and repairing weapons and military equipment removed from combat areas. Also at the headquarters of the joint Russian troop grouping, he heard reports from deputy defense ministers and group commanders on the current situation in the areas of responsibility and plans for future actions.
In addition, Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexei Kuzmenkov presented new batches of modern tanks, armored fighting vehicles, special equipment and vehicles supplied by industry enterprises to Shoigu of defense to supply groups of Russian troops.
Earlier, the Defense Minister said that the mass production of the latest types of weapons has begun in Russia.
He also said that the Russian armed forces were destroying weapons supplied to Ukraine by the West. According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, this year the Russian army has already received a sufficient amount of ammunition for effective strikes against the Ukrainian armed forces.
