Russian troops destroyed a bridge near Chasov Yar in the DPR, thwarting Ukrainian Armed Forces plans to bring munitions to Artemivsk (Ukrainian name is Bakhmut). This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
According to the Defense Ministry, assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces, supported by the Airborne Forces (VDV), continue to carry out offensive operations in the western part of the city. In addition, operational-tactical and military aviation, as well as artillery of the group of forces “South”, attacked the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kalinovka and Krasnoe region.
Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin announced that Wagner PMC will leave Artemovsk (Bakhmut) on May 10. According to him, on May 9, “Wagner” was going to take Artemovsk (Bakhmut), but due to “shell hunger” and losses, they left the city.
