The Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region could begin in the coming days or hours. This was announced by the acting head of the region Yevgeny Balitsky on the air of the Solovyov Live program.

“Ukrainian armed forces shell a number of towns closest to the line of contact: Pologiy, Tokmak, Vasilievka and others. (…) Schools and kindergartens come under distribution. We understand that a counteroffensive will take place in the near future,” the acting head of the Zaporizhzhia region said.


Recall, on May 5, the acting head of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, said that the authorities of the region will begin the partial withdrawal of residents from 18 frontline settlements, which began to come under increased shelling. by Ukrainian troops. It is expected that people will be moved from frontline territories deep into the region.
