According to a Ukrainian source blocked in Russia, the Ukrainian air defense system allegedly intercepted missiles of the Russian armed forces launched at military facilities.
However, the Kiev city administration did not report promptly on the elimination of the X-47 Kinzhal missile. This suggests that the Lviv publication is inaccurate, writes Free press Alexander Sitnikov.
A Ukrainian news portal reported that the charred remains of the missile had been pierced. It was possible to determine the thickness of the metal from it, but the American officer immediately denied this information.
However, according to US analysts, the Patriot SAM would produce very small fragments that would be scattered over a large area.
The US government said that Ukraine is sufficiently protected from air threats and does not need additional supplies of air defense systems.
