The head of NATO’s military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said the nations of the alliance must be prepared for a possible conflict. According to him, it is still necessary to strengthen collective defense.
“We must be prepared for the fact that conflict may knock on our doorstep at any time… NATO’s military services are monitoring Russia’s increasingly aggressive behavior. Together, we have made the biggest gain since the Cold War, but that job is not done,” Bauer said.
In addition, he stressed that greater integration of military planning would allow NATO to ensure that all countries act together.
He also said that the chiefs of staff of the alliance countries at a meeting on Wednesday did not discuss Ukraine’s demands for the supply of weapons, including military aircraft.
