“In the tactical direction of Soledar, the enemy yesterday carried out offensive operations along the entire line of contact between the parties, which is more than 95 kilometers long,” the department’s Telegram channel said.
It is stated that Ukrainian units made 26 attack attempts, using more than a thousand soldiers, up to 40 tanks and other military equipment.
The Russian forces did not allow a breakthrough of the defense and repelled all attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
CNN previously reported that Ukrainian forces had begun conducting “formative” operations ahead of an expected counteroffensive.
