Finance ministers and central bankers from the G7 countries issued a joint statement after a three-day meeting in Japan, Niigata. They reaffirmed their intention to support Ukraine for as long as necessary.
“We reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine for as long as it takes, and our unity in our condemnation of Russia…We remain committed to international cooperation to solve global economic problems…” document.
The parties also confirmed their intention to compensate the urgent needs of Ukraine and some other countries that now need it. For 2023 and 2024, countries will allocate approximately $44 billion for these purposes.
