G7 countries and the EU intend to completely block the import of Russian gas pipeline

According to the Financial Times, representatives of the G7 countries will consider a complete blockage of gas imports by Russian pipeline at the Hiroshima summit from May 19 to 21.

The source of the publication in circles close to the preparation for the G7 meeting announced the preparation of a document completely prohibiting the supply of Russian gas through gas pipelines.

The publication’s interlocutor noted that the decision of the Group of Seven “will prevent the resumption of Russian gas pipeline exports to Poland and Germany, where Moscow stopped deliveries last year.”

The publication clarifies that the decision may affect the northern branch of the Druzhba pipeline, RT reports.

Earlier, it was reported that the EU had offered to stop oil supplies from the Russian Federation to Germany and Poland, while maintaining supplies to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. .
