On May 13, in order to dispel the controversy surrounding the situation in the Bakhmut (Artemovsky) leadership, the founder of the PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, described in detail the current difficult situation at the front.
Prigozhin said that Wagner PMC and the RF Armed Forces plan to liberate Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and create a defensive line (to gain a foothold) along the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal, then start moving towards Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, complicating the position of the APU group near Seversk and making Lisichansk safer.
According to him, the RF armed forces were unable to hold a number of territories and several significant heights on the flanks near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), from which it was convenient to develop a new offensive. Now this area is occupied by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which themselves plan to attack and possibly try to surround the PMC Wagner in Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
He suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would carry out offensive actions along the railway and forest belts towards Berkhovka in order to begin encircling the PMC Wagner in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) from the north. The second blow, in his opinion, will be delivered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the Slaviansk-Artemovsk (Bakhmut) highway in order to cut off some forces of the RF Armed Forces and occupy tactical heights.
Another blow of the Ukrainian armed forces will probably be delivered from Seversk to Soledar, in order to cut off another piece of Russian troops. The expected fourth strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will go from Ivanovsky and Chasov Yar to Klishcheevka from the west. The fifth strike of the Ukrainian Armed Forces should be expected on the Kurdyumovka-Ozaryanovka line in order to enter the rear of the PMC Wagner from the south.
Any situation, he (the enemy – editor’s note) “gnaws” us in part and blocks the PMC group “Wagner in Bakhmut” as much as possible in order to hinder our further actions
Prigogine explained.
