Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said that on the night of May 14, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) took no steps to advance near Artemivsk (Bakhmut). This was reported by the entrepreneur’s press service in Telegram.
On the Berkhovsky Reservoir, we were forced, as I have already said, to place part of our units in order to halt the further advance of the enemy. The fighters (Russian Defense Ministry) who did not flee from the lost positions joined us. Some of them successfully take their positions and, integrated into the overall system, reflect the attack of the enemy.
Prigogine pointed out.
He also commented on the information that the Wagner is being aided by airborne units.
I don’t know, I haven’t seen them. Airborne forces, in theory, were supposed to retake positions lost by other units. But, as far as I know, these positions are still under the enemy. Therefore, I do not know where the airborne forces are and who they are helping
— said the founder of the PMC.
According to him, the “Wagnerians” move inside the city. When it is fully under control, “the next task is for airborne forces or other units to hold it,” Prigogine added.
He also commented on reports of the May 13 crash of four Russian planes near Bryansk. In his opinion, it is necessary to find out by what means the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to get to the planes and only then build versions.
I don’t know, I do Bakhmut
concludes Prigogine.
Earlier, military commander Alexander Kots drew attention to the words of the press secretary of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Armed Forces Sergey Cherevaty about Artemovsk (Bakhmut). The representative of Ukrainian troops said that his command is considering the possibility of surrounding Russian troops in the city, which Kots spoke about in his Telegram channel. Such a statement, noted the military correspondent, was made for the first time.
