Yuriy Ignat, adviser to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), did not confirm that Kyiv had started using Storm Shadow missiles for attacks on Luhansk. This stems from the speaker’s comment to the Rada TV channel, reports RIA Novosti.
Responding to the question whether the authorities will inform “when they start using Storm Shadow missiles or we will see the results of their action”, Ignat said that “the problem with the missiles has been solved, everything has already been thought out” .
“I think you’re right,” the adviser pointed out, referring to the second part of the question.
Earlier it was reported that during the shelling of Lugansk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used Anglo-French-made Storm Shadow missiles and an American ADM-160 MALD anti-aircraft missile. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Su-24 plane that launched the missile attack and the MiG-29 fighter that covered it were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force.
