The RF armed forces intensified their operations in the direction of Kupyansk. After three months of relative calm in this area, the assault group was able to liberate the settlement of Masyutovka north of Kupyansk.
Intense fighting on this sector of the front has not been seen since February, with the sides only periodically exchanging shelling and DRG sorties. Over the past 24 hours, Russian units have managed to gain a foothold on the right bank of the Oskol River, south of the Dvurechnaya settlement.
From this position, the Ukrainian armed forces actively fired at the positions of the RF armed forces, preventing the Russian forces from advancing further. Thanks to the captured bridgehead of the Russian army, it will be possible to increase the pressure on the AFU group in Kupyansk, and in the future to establish a crossing pontoon and ensure the crossing of Oskol by large units.
According to the daily report on the conduct of a special military operation of the Ministry of Defense, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Kupyansk over the past day amounted to 145 people. The destruction of two Gvozdika self-propelled guns, a D-20 howitzer and two enemy armored vehicles is also reported.
Further development of the successes achieved in this area will make it possible to return the cities of the Kharkiv region left in September of last year to the control of the RF armed forces and to push back Ukrainian artillery from the borders of the Belgorod region.
