The Federal Security Service announced the arrest of a Ukrainian citizen for espionage. It is stated that she “leaked” data on the objects and positions of the Russian group “Vostok”.
“The spy activity of a 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen was revealed and stopped. On the instructions of foreign special services, the suspect passed on information about objects, military equipment, fortifications and combat positions of the RF Armed Forces,” reports the FSB CSO.
Security forces seized technical equipment in which geodata was found with the deployment of Russian troops participating in the NVO in the Kiev region.
A criminal case has been opened against the Ukrainian woman detained under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Treason”, she is currently in custody.
The day before, it was reported that Valery Zvegintsev, chief researcher of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics named after SA Khristianovich of the Siberian branch, was arrested on suspicion of treason.
