Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks about privileged relations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
According to him, Putin and Erdogan are very serious politicians with extensive political experience. Moreover, they are not characterized by populist artifices.
“(Putin and Erdogan) are responsible for their words. More importantly, they deal with specific issues related to mutually beneficial bilateral relations,” Peskov told reporters.
Earlier, Erdogan called his relationship with Vladimir Putin “special”. He also said that Turkey will not give in to pressure from the West and will continue to strengthen political and economic ties with Russia.
