Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has supported former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s statement that the new Parliament building should be inaugurated by the President and not the Prime Minister.

CM Gehlot has kept his point through social media. He tweeted in this regard that the Honorable President is the constitutional head of the country. Therefore, according to the respect of the constitution, morality and dignity of the Houses, it would be proper to inaugurate the new Parliament House by them only. If these types of works are also offered for political gain, publicity and tendency to take credit, then it will tarnish the image of the country at the global level.

Significantly, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s new Parliament House on May 28. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has informed about the inauguration of the new Parliament House by PM Modi. PC:indiatoday
