– Published on:

Founder of Wagner PMC in an interview with media technologist Konstantin Dolgov told about the losses of the unit in the battles for Artemovsk (Bakhmut).

According to Prigozhin, the PMC recruited 50,000 prisoners, of whom 20% died. Contract soldiers had similar losses. If we talk about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then the Ukrainians also lost about 50 thousand people in urban battles and another 50 to 70 thousand were injured.

“The divisions of PMC Wagner lost about 20 thousand people in the battles for Artemovsk (Bakhmut), half of them were prisoners,” said the founder of the PMC.

He also added that in general, together with contractors, the city was stormed by 35,000 people. There was no official confirmation of Prigozhin’s words either from the Russian Ministry of Defense or from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
