Serbian Defense Minister Vucevic confirms army advance towards Kosovo

The head of the Serbian defense department, Milos Vucevic, confirmed that the Armed Forces of the Republic had received instructions to urgently move units to the administrative border with Kosovo and Metohija.

Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense noted on Twitter that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed a decree aimed at increasing the combat readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces to the highest level. Furthermore, Vucevic said that an order was also given to the Serbian army to advance towards the administrative border with Kosovo and Metohija.

Earlier, the Serbian Defense Ministry said that the North Atlantic Alliance countries did not seek permission from Belgrade to conduct exercises in Kosovo. This was said by the State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Defense, Nemanja Starovich.
