Tokyo: Japan has banned the export of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects and other organizations as part of a new sanctions package imposed on Russia against Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. This information was received from a bulletin released on the Japanese government website on Friday. The list of new sanctions imposed by Japan on Russia includes the Russian Scientific-Manufacturing Complex Technological Center, the Scientific Research Institute of Systems Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Russian company Papillon—a major supplier of biometric and ballistic identification systems to many countries, as well as to Russia. Control systems for the defense industry and research centres, are also included.
