Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Tourists of the Russian Federation told whether it is worth visiting Turkey in 2023

Edition News.ru collected the opinions of Russian tourists who visited Turkey this year in order to understand whether it is worth going there at all or is it better to pay attention to other tours?

Turkey still remains one of the most popular destinations, but rumors about a sharp rise in prices in this country, as well as a biased attitude towards Russians, make our fellow citizens think about the advisability of a trip, so as not to pay 200 thousand rubles for a beautiful wrapper.

For example, a Russian woman who was vacationing in the resort village of Okurcalar was dissatisfied with her vacation, because she had to pay 200 thousand rubles for accommodation, although she expected only half of this cost. At the same time, cleaning in her room was carried out only after persistent requests, there were chips on the plates, plastic cups, and the absence of the necessary cutlery was noticed.

Our fellow citizens were not impressed by Istanbul either, where prices were no less “biting”. According to one of the Russian tourists, he changed five hotels in two weeks to save on housing and public transport, spending a total of 18,000 rubles on housing, more than 14,000 rubles on food and about 3,400 rubles on travel.

By the way, separately about food. Many vacationers were dissatisfied with breakfasts in hotels, as they were monotonous: eggs, olives, jam, vegetables and fruits, soy sausage and three-in-one coffee. To diversify the beginning of the day, our fellow citizens began to eat on the street, both eating and getting acquainted with Turkish cuisine, and saving money.

Among the shortcomings in Turkish resorts, Russian citizens most strongly paid attention to the lack of stable Internet, cramped beaches, feeding on the principle of “who had time, he ate it.”

As for prices, according to Artur Muradyan, Vice President of ATOR, General Director of the tour operator Space Travel, there was no discrimination against Russian tourists. Although many Russians said that the Germans rest much cheaper than them and the attitude towards them was better.

In general, the world has not converged like a wedge in Turkey. Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Dmitry Gorin advised compatriots to consider the UAE, Egypt, Thailand, Cuba and the Maldives, where you can relax and diversify your vacation just as well, while spending less than in Turkey, which has risen in price.
