Hola Pristan’s artesian water is undrinkable. This was reported by the authorities of the Kherson region. The situation in towns and villages after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station remains difficult. Drinking water is the main thing people expect. In order to prevent epidemics of viral infections, disinfection of the territory and vaccination of the population are carried out in the region.

Humanitarian aid – in tons, the work of rescuers and volunteers is not at all subject to calculation – they work around the clock. Water has left Novaya Kakhovka and nearby settlements, but the situation is still difficult in Golopristansky and Aleshkinsky districts.

More than 7,000 people were evacuated. And every day, hundreds more decide to leave the flooded area. After all, water is not the only source of danger.

“They are trying to interfere with us by bombing, and the bombings are not only somewhere on military positions with which we have nothing to do, we have other goals and objectives, but, probably, they hit us directly, at civilians, hitting the evacuation spikes. We are constantly moving, constantly moving, hiding cars, hiding personnel, “said Sergei Drozdov, head of the group of the specialized detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Situations Russian emergency for the Republic of Crimea.

More than 20,000 homes remain flooded, only a tenth of them have been cleared of water, but it won’t be possible to return home anytime soon. So far, only experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense walk around in the damp basements. Water is pumped out, sanitation is carried out – this should protect against an outbreak of infectious diseases and the spread of viral infections. For the same reasons, they did not cancel the planned vaccination.

“Vaccinations are necessary, today we are vaccinated against hepatitis, hepatitis A. As for the dysentery in the area: it seems that everything went as usual, we vaccinated around 60 people”, said Anatoly Gorshinev, deputy chief physician of the city of Skadovsk. hospital.

Work is also in full swing in the temporary accommodation centres. Those who are not indifferent bring tons of clothes and food, and above all, drinking water. In the past 24 hours alone, more than five hundred lump sum payment requests have been received from victims. The modernization of the Chongar checkpoint is expected to establish an uninterrupted supply of humanitarian aid to the region. Marat Khusnullin personally assessed the progress of the work the day before. The deadline is before the end of summer, but the task should be completed earlier than expected, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation noted.

Earlier it became known that in the areas of the Kherson region affected by the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry rescued 2,237 people, including 194 children. The ministry said nearly a thousand people and 343 pieces of equipment were involved in the aftermath of the disaster.
