The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms with lightning in Bhopal, Ujjain, Guna, Shivpuri, Sheopurkalan, Ashok Nagar, Morena, Vidisha, Sehore, Neemuch, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Dhar, Betul, Chhindwara, Shahdol, Anuppur late night. Mamta Yadav, senior scientist of Bhopal Meteorological Centre, told that Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’, which reached Rajasthan from Gujarat, has weakened and converted into a depression. It is moving in north-east direction. Due to its effect, there was light cloud cover in many parts on Saturday. Its clear effect will be seen on Sunday. Due to the low pressure area, there will be a change in the weather of the western areas. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain with high speed winds in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain divisions. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for here. After this, the weather will remain the same on June 22-23. Meanwhile, the entry of monsoon is also possible.

According to the Meteorological Department, intense heatwave prevailed in Chhindwara and Balaghat on Saturday, while there was normal effect of heatwave in Seoni, Jabalpur, Damoh, Sidhi and Rewa. The highest temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius was recorded in Sidhi in the state. On Sunday also heat wave may prevail at some places in the districts of Sagar division. Senior meteorologist Mamta Yadav told that the storm ‘Biparjoy’ is moving slowly in the north-east direction. Under its effect, there is a possibility of rain at some places in Bhopal, Dhar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Gwalior, Morena, Sheopurkala, Panna and Chhatarpur districts on Sunday. There may be heavy rains in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal and Ujjain divisions bordering Rajasthan. During this, winds are also expected to blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
