Time is strong. There was a time when many MPs of India had made a written request to America not to grant visa to Narendra Modi. This is a time when the relationship between America and India has been at its highest under Modi’s leadership. Modi’s state visit to America proved this fact once again. An unprecedented welcome was given to Narendra Modi here. Modi-Modi echoed from New York to Washington and White House. Strong relations with America had started in the first term of Narendra Modi. At that time Barack Obama was the President of America. He had thrown in the wastebasket the letter of some Indian MPs appealing for not granting visa to Modi.

He himself invited Narendra Modi. Red carpet was rolled out for Modi in America. Barak also came to India and in this way the strategic and business partnership progressed. Among the selected world leaders with whom Barak had very close relations, Narendra Modi has been at the top. This tradition of Barack was carried forward by his successor Donald Trump. Relations between the two countries strengthened during his tenure as well. India’s role expanded during Narendra Modi’s tenure. India’s importance has increased in international politics. Biden understands this too. There was better mutual understanding between Narendra Modi and outgoing US President Donald Trump. The partnership between the two countries had expanded during that period.

Doubts were being expressed about the approach of his successor Joe Biden. It was said that he has opposed India on many issues. But this was about a time when he had not become the President. After becoming the President, his personal stand is no longer important. Rather, it also becomes indispensable for the President to see the attitude of the American people. The people of America are also against terrorism. Narendra Modi’s clear stand on this remains discussed there. Common people are affected by this. Apart from this, the economic business strategic partnership between India and America cannot be ignored.

Mutual trust between the two countries has increased. A new chapter of cooperation has begun. The impact of foreign policy is determined on the basis of leadership. The country remains the same, but its role in the international world changes with the change of leadership. The influence of Indian foreign policy has increased under the leadership of Narendra Modi. There was a face-to-face meeting between Modi and US President Joe Biden in the Oval Office of the White House. After the meeting, he announced several agreements including drones, jet engines and space. India has decided to join the Artemis Agreement. It brings together like-minded countries on the issue of civilian space exploration.

NASA and ISRO have agreed on a joint mission to the International Space Station in 2024. Modi and the US President announced a mega deal on the purchase of General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper armed drones. The MQ-9 Reaper drone is very important for India’s national security. Its deployment will ensure the security of Indian Ocean, Chinese border along with other international borders. An agreement has also been reached between the US and India on the co-production of jet engines. Both countries welcomed General Electric’s proposal to jointly produce the F-414 jet engine in India. GE and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited have entered into an agreement. This is a significant step towards manufacturing the F 414 engine in India and will enable a greater transfer of American jet engine technology than ever before.

Computer chip maker Micron will set up its semiconductor assembly and test facility in Gujarat with a total investment of $2.75 billion. An agreement has also been reached between the two countries regarding this. The US will open two new consulates in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. India will set up a mission in Seattle to promote people-to-people ties. The US Embassy in the Indian capital is one of the largest US diplomatic missions in the world. This embassy coordinates the activities of four consulates at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad. Modi reached America for the first time on a state visit. The US President himself invites the guest leader for this visit. The highest level of US state travel has been recorded.

The US President himself welcomes the guest on a state visit. A 21-gun salute is given to a leader going on an American state visit. The leader coming on a state visit is accorded a grand welcome. America bears all the expenses on the trip. Leaders on state visits have dinner with the US President and First Lady. The dinner program organized on this visit is called ‘State Dinner’. The leader on a state visit is lodged at Blair House, which is the guest house of the President. Narendra Modi met a cross section of US CEOs in Washington and sought technical cooperation from them in India. In a series of back-to-back meetings, Modi met Gary E. Dickerson, President and CEO of Applied Materials, and invited his company to contribute to strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem in India and developing process technology and advanced packaging capabilities. Did.

Modi and Dickerson discussed the potential for Applied Materials’ collaboration with academic institutions in India to create a skilled workforce. The Prime Minister then met Lawrence Culp Jr., CEO of General Electric. During this, Modi appreciated the company for its long-term commitment to manufacturing in India. The focus was on GE’s large technology collaboration to boost manufacturing in India. Modi expected the company to play a bigger role in the aviation and renewable energy sectors in India. Also invited. India and the US are building strong ties by collaborating in areas such as artificial intelligence and space.

On the question of discrimination against minorities, Modi said, “Democracy is in our veins and there is no question of discriminating against anyone on the basis of caste, creed and religion.” Our government runs on the principle of everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s faith, everyone’s effort and there is no discrimination in India’s democratic values. President Biden also said that democracy is in the DNA of both India and America.
