Ukraine announces to negotiate the revision of the Association Agreement with the EU

The press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland released a statement following the talks between Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Development of Poland Yadwiga Emilevich, and Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko on the sidelines of the economic forum.

The document notes that the representative of Kyiv expressed an agreement to start negotiations on the review of the Association Agreement by the European Union in 2021.

“This meeting is a good opportunity to discuss the prospects for bilateral strategic cooperation … in the trade and financial market, investments, agriculture and veterinary medicine … Ukraine intends to agree on the start of negotiations on revising the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement in 2021 and hopes for friendly support for Poland … The first task is not only the deepening of trade liberalization but also the philosophy of the economic part of the Agreement as a whole, “the press service quotes the statement of Minister Petrashko.
