The Czech Republic will repair Ukrainian army armored vehicles as part of Prague’s military assistance in the face of Russian aggression, the Czech Defense Ministry said.
State-owned VOP CZ has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ukrainian arms maker Ukroboronprom for repairs, the ministry said without giving details.
“The memorandum … contains a specific plan and timetable for repairs and the supply of spare parts,” said Ales Vytechka, director of the Czech government agency for military cooperation AMOS, which signed the memorandum.
The Czech Republic has become one of Kiev’s main arms suppliers among NATO members since Russia invaded Ukraine last February.
Prague supplied Ukraine with armored personnel carriers, tanks and howitzers.
