China, which announced a “borderless” alliance with Russia shortly before Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, unveiled its own peace plan on Friday.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, whose statement was released on Tuesday, Beijing’s voice must be heard, but the nuances of the proposal are important.
“Of course, the details must be carefully analyzed, taking into account the interests of all parties. It’s a very long and intensive process,” he said in an interview with Izvestia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told a press conference last week that China’s proposal is “not an infrastructure for anything. There are points that are clear to me. There are thoughts I don’t agree with.
