Required data and fees.. Learn about the card and passport issuance service for Qataris and their children

The Qatar e-government portal (Hukoomi) stated that Qataris can issue or renew personal cards and passports online for themselves or their children under the age of 16.

According to a government website, this service allows citizens and their children under the age of 16 to submit a request online to the Ministry of Interior to issue or renew Qatari documents, or to issue a replacement for lost or damaged Qatari documents, such as the identity card and passport.

Submitting the application electronically, logging in with the smart card to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior. to choose "Citizen services" then "Country documents". Enter all required data and pay the prescribed fees. The user must have a smart card to benefit from this service. This service can be obtained at any time, and it is completed immediately after the user completes the transaction. This service is also available on the Metrash2 application.

Submit a paper application. Download and fill out the application form. The application is made at the Nationality and Travel Documents Department

The data required to issue a new passport. Two personal photos must be attached, a copy of the ID card and a copy of the birth certificate for those who do not have the ID card.

In the event that a new passport is issued for children, a copy of the father’s and mother’s ID card, birth certificate and marriage contract must be submitted.

To issue a new identity card, two personal photos (for those under 12 years old), the original passport and a copy thereof, a certificate proving blood type, a copy of the birth certificate, a copy of the parents’ ID card, and the guardian’s approval must be attached.

In the event that the ID card is renewed, the current ID card must be brought. For those over 65 years old, two personal photos must be attached.

Conditions: The applicant must attend in person if he is 12 years old or older (for the first time). It is not necessary to attend in person for those over 65 years of age in case of renewing the ID card. Fees Passport: new or renewed: 100 QR Replacement for lost/damaged: 400 QR
