Today, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune made a cabinet reshuffle that affected a number of ministries. The amendment included 11 portfolios out of 31 ministries, which are the ministries of: foreign affairs and the national community abroad, finance, youth and sports, digitization and statistics, trade and export promotion, irrigation, transport, tourism and handicrafts. The Algerian president also appointed, according to this government amendment, new ministers of labour, employment, social security, environment and renewable energies, fishing and fishing products. And the Presidency of the Republic in Algeria stated, in a press statement, that President Tebboune issued a presidential decree appointing: Ahmed Ataf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Aziz Fayed, Minister of Finance, Abdelrahman Hammad, Minister of Youth and Sports. Maryam Bam Miloud, Minister of Digitization and Statistics, Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Youssef Shorfa, Minister of Transport. Mokhtar Didouche, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Faisal bin Taleb, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security. Faiza Dahlab, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Ahmed Bidani, Minister of Fisheries and Fishing Products, and Taha Darbal, Minister of Irrigation. The Algerian President also appointed Mr. Abdelaziz Khalaf, Minister of State, Advisor to the President of the Republic, Mohamed Nazir Al-Arabawi, Director of the Presidential Court, Yahya Bukhari, Secretary-General of the Government. It is noteworthy that the government reshuffle today is the sixth of its kind since President Abdelmadjid Tebboune assumed power in Algeria, December 2019.
