Erdogan confirms the extension of the “grain agreement”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the extension of the “grains agreement”. This was reported by Turkish news channel TRT Haber.

“The duration of the grain agreement, which expires on March 19, has been extended. We ensured the extension for a new duration of the agreement thanks to the negotiations that we carried out with the two parties (Russia and Ukraine – editor’s note)”, declared Erdogan.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko confirmed that the “grain deal” has been extended for 60 days. According to him, Moscow has received assurances that all promises made to lift restrictions on the supply of Russian agricultural products on international markets would be kept.
