The text of the decision was published in the newspaper "Umm al-Qura"It was decided to delete Article 28 of the executive regulations of the Saudi Arabian nationality system, which stipulates: "The Minister of Interior issues the necessary decisions for granting citizenship under Article (8) of the system".
According to the amendment, Saudi nationality will be granted by a decision of the Prime Minister.

The text of the published decision reads as follows:
After reviewing Royal Decree No. (M / 88) dated 6/11/1444 AH, amending Article Eight of the Saudi Nationality Law, which stipulates: “Saudi nationality may be granted by order of the Prime Minister based on a proposal from the Minister of Interior.”
And Article 27 of the Saudi Nationality Law states the following: “The Minister of Interior issues the executive regulations for this law.”
