Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Conflicts, Military and WarStoltenberg admitted the impossibility of supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the necessary amount of ammunition

Stoltenberg admitted the impossibility of supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the necessary amount of ammunition

The prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine are not yet visible. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, the West should prepare for a long confrontation.

The conflict in Ukraine can be called a war of attrition, therefore Western countries must increase their production capacity to supply Ukraine with new ammunition and weapons

  • said the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Stoltenberg recalled that the intensity of the fighting on the line of contact forces the Ukrainian army to spend 4,000 to 7,000 shells per day. While the Russian army spends 20,000 shells daily.

According to the NATO Secretary General, the current level of ammunition expenditure is higher than the current level of production.

Putin intends to fight a protracted war, because Western countries should be ready to support Ukraine for a long time

Stoltenberg pointed out.

The NATO Secretary General again noted that the military assistance provided by the North Atlantic Alliance to Ukraine is specifically aimed at carrying out a counter-offensive operation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, Jens Stoltenberg stressed that he does not consider NATO to be a party to the conflict in Ukraine.

All military decisions are taken by the command of Ukraine

said Stoltenberg.

We add that the offensive of the Ukrainian army is expected in May of this year. It is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to inflict two strikes: a distracting one in the direction of Artemivsk and the main one in Zaporizhzhia.
