The European Union is considering imposing sanctions on Central Asian countries, providing for the closure of access to the European market because of their assistance to Russia in the acquisition of under-sanctioned dual-use goods. It is reported by The Telegraph.
“The EU could impose trade restrictions on countries that help Russia acquire dual-use goods, namely washing machines and used cars. Officials monitoring trade flows to Moscow have noticed a significant increase in trade in consumer goods between Russia and its traditional allies in Central Asia.
In addition, European officials suspect Central Asian countries of aiding the Russian military-industrial complex and the Russian military.
