Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

In Kursk, representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the prosecutor’s office will visit Ecotex after regular complaints from citizens

Last weekend, residents of the Seimsky district of Kursk again came to the Ecotex enterprise with posters because of the unpleasant smell emanating from the territory of the factory. They recorded a video message titled “Kursk-style ecology with a smell”, in which they demanded to stop bullying them.

“Unfortunately the problem has not been solved. Today Ecotex is poisoning the area with renewed vigor. We have nothing to breathe. Today is a day off and we cannot afford to walk quietly along Energetikov Street because of the unpleasant smell. Poisonous fumes are entering our homes. Children, old people, veterans are breathing in poison. Stop Ecotex!” Kursk residents urge in the video.

The House of Soviets has already reacted to the situation. Today, March 27, Governor Roman Starovoit instructed his subordinates to communicate with local residents, collect samples and control the examination of these samples. In case of violation, the head of the region ordered to force the company to stop work.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kursk region, Konstantin Polyakov, said that representatives of the department, under the auspices of the regional prosecutor’s office, will soon visit the site and take the necessary measures.
