About 80 snowplows operate on the roads of the Kursk region

It has already been reported that winter suddenly fell on the eastern part of the Kursk region. On the night of Friday, March 31, snow fell heavily in the Timsky, Manturovsky, Shchigrovsky, Gorshechensky, Cheremisinovsky, Kastorensky and Sovetsky regions.

Governor Roman Starovoit spoke about the situation in the region on his telegraph channel. On federal roads, the consequences of snowfall are eliminated by about fifty equipment. Over the past day, 350 tons of sand-salt mixture were consumed, 280 of them on the Voronezh highway. In the morning, the traffic was difficult there.

– At the 63rd kilometer, a truck collapsed, we had to put chains on its wheels in order to restore traffic as quickly as possible, – said the governor.

Today, about 80 snowplows work on the roads of the Kursk region. 50 more are in reserve. The region’s chief said snowfall is expected overnight. The drivers are actively preparing.
