Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Nebenzia admitted the possibility of a meeting between Lavrov and Blinken
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov may meet US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at the UN at Washington’s request. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.
As the diplomat pointed out, if the United States asks for a meeting, then Lavrov, as he thinks, will be ready for it. So Nebenzya answered the question about the possibility of negotiations between the heads of the American and Russian diplomatic departments.
Earlier, White House spokesman John Kirby agreed with Russia’s position on nuclear war – that it should not be allowed, because it is impossible to win in such a conflict.
