Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Tula workers asked Vladimir Putin about wages, emergency housing and rising prices

On April 4, as part of his visit to Tula, Vladimir Putin visited the Tulazheldormash plant and had a conversation with the workers. Still at the factory, the Head of State inspected the assembly workshop, the blanks workshop and the welding stations.

Workers asked questions about issues that concern them. They mainly concerned housing, work, wages, utility bills. In particular, a question was asked about the continuation of the program for the resettlement of old and dilapidated housing. The issue of rising prices was also raised.

According to Vladimir Putin, the state is doing everything to ensure that citizens’ incomes are worthy, despite inflation which has climbed to 17%. This year, the head of state stressed, positive changes are expected – an increase in real wages by 3-5%. He also said utility rates would not increase until mid-2024.

Questions were also asked about supporting young professionals. According to the head of state, Russia is now experiencing a minimum level of unemployment, which leads to increased competition for a skilled worker and higher wages. It is necessary to train highly qualified specialists, develop opportunities for early career guidance and organize internships as part of a specialization program in a corporate environment.
