Russian Foreign Ministry urges Israel and Palestine to return to ceasefire

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation calls on the parties to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to refrain from any confrontation. This is stated in a statement on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The continued escalation of violence in the area of ​​the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is causing serious concern in Moscow. (…) We call on the parties involved in the conflict to refrain from confrontational measures, to act in the interests of preventing further escalation, ending the violence and restoring a ceasefire sustainable,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Moscow reaffirms the importance of respecting the status quo of holy sites in Jerusalem and respecting the rights of believers of all faiths.

Political observer Andrei Perla, in an interview with Paragraph, noted that these bombardments are nothing special and are just a “seasonal aggravation”. According to him, the internal Israeli situation pushes the leaders of Israel to show strength in their relations with Palestine.
