Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

US Secretary of State Blinken called the timing of the start of the Ukrainian offensive

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) offensive could begin in the coming weeks. Interview with him published on the Ouest-France portal.

According to the State Secretary, Kiev’s partners have two goals: to help organize the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as to strengthen Ukraine’s medium and long-term potential.

Blinken warned that until Russia changes its policy, the United States and other Western states intend to maintain “unprecedented pressure through sanctions and export controls.”

The US Secretary of State also noted that when it comes to attempts to return the entire territory of the country, the Ukrainian government should listen to the opinion of the population. “These decisions must be made by Ukraine. Ukraine is a democracy. President Zelenskyy is responsible for the will of the Ukrainian people. In fact, this decision is up to the Ukrainians,” he explained.

Kiev has repeatedly declared that the Ukrainian army is preparing for a spring counteroffensive. In particular, the head of the country’s Defense Ministry noted that a counteroffensive could take place in April and May, and also stressed that the attack would be carried out in several directions.

On the eve of CNN, citing the opinion of experts, it was reported that the counteroffensive could begin simultaneously in the southern and eastern directions.

Additionally, the Pentagon is investigating leaked classified military documents detailing U.S. and NATO plans to build a Ukrainian army ahead of a counteroffensive, The New York Times reported. According to the building, the documents appeared on Twitter and Telegram, and they contain information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may need, which can indirectly give “hints” to the Russian side.
