Israel Police chief rabbi urges citizens to bring guns to synagogues

In the world

The chief rabbi of the Israel Police has called on citizens to arm themselves en masse amid events unfolding in the country. In particular, he called for taking weapons with you to synagogues on Shabbat. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

This statement was made after the escalation of the conflict with Lebanon. Recall that this week rockets were fired from the territory of Lebanon towards the border area of Israel. Some of the missiles were shot down by Israel’s Iron Dome system, but about half of the missiles still hit their target.

The day before the rabbi’s statement, Israeli forces entered Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, from which Muslims were evacuated on April 6. It is known that riots broke out in Nazareth after the incident.

Earlier, the “regional leader” reported that rocket launchers for bombing Israel were found in Lebanon.
